Emily Fjare
Head of School
Emily Fjare holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Creighton University and a Master’s degree in Education from Southern Methodist University. She holds a Texas teacher certificate and earned the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Elementary (6–12) diploma, as well as the AMI Montessori Core Principles Certificate from the Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT). In addition, she holds a certification with the National Center for Montessori Public Schools for the Coaches, Child Study, and Lesson Study training. She was a Lower Elementary guide at Lumin Education in Dallas, where she integrated Texas state standards (TEKS) with the Montessori curriculum. She has 20 years of experience in K–12 education, is a former CASA volunteer, and spent 5 years working with children in an emergency shelter and residential treatment facility. She is a Montessori parent who has enjoyed following her child through their Montessori journey.
